Local women receive prestigious NYS Commendation Awards

POTSDAM — State Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-Rome, presented New York State Senate Commendation Awards to three exemplary St. Lawrence County women Tuesday afternoon at the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce.
Those honored include SUNY Potsdam President Kristin G. Esterberg, Director of the Potsdam Snack Pack Program Laurell Brault and Dana O. McGuire, former St. Lawrence County Public Health director.
Sen. Griffo said the individuals honored “deserve to be recognized for the exceptional work that they do in their communities and throughout the region.”
He added that “each honoree has shown remarkable commitment and dedication to making St. Lawrence County and the north country a better place for all.”
