Born in 1974, Balaji Raghotham grew up in K R Puram and learnt swimming in some of these lakes. In 1992, he started plantation activities around the lakes.
The community’s dedication was evident as residents recently extended their efforts to Varanasi Lake. On Wednesday, they carried out an awareness campaign at Varanasi Lake. With the mission of encouraging public involvement in lake preservation, the residents emphasised the importance of voluntary contributions to maintain the lakes. Balaji Raghotham, a dedicated lake activist and resident of KR Puram, highlighted the significance of collective action in sustaining the ecosystem.
