The community’s dedication was evident as residents recently extended their efforts to Varanasi Lake. On Wednesday, they carried out an awareness campaign at Varanasi Lake. With the mission of encouraging public involvement in lake preservation, the residents emphasised the importance of voluntary contributions to maintain the lakes. Balaji Raghotham, a dedicated lake activist and resident of KR Puram, highlighted the significance of collective action in sustaining the ecosystem.

Bengaluru East has made arrangements to survey Gangashetty Lake at KR Puram. The tahsildar issued a public statement inviting the residents of
KR Puram to participate in the survey of Gangashetty Lake.
The waterbody will be surveyed at 10 am on Thursday in the presence of residents. Appreciating the tahsildar for taking the decision to survey the lake land, Balaji Raghotham, a lake activist said that activists and residents have been demanding from the revenue authorities to survey the lake land for the last eight years.
