Karan Brar, one of the three persons arrested in Canada in connection with the killing of Sikh radical Hardeep Singh Nijjar, belonged to Kot Sukhia village near Kotkapura town of Faridkot district. He had no criminal case against him in Punjab. Canadian police have arrested suspects linked to Nijjar's murder in British Columbia and are investigating multiple murders. The hit squad members are allegedly associated with Punjabi Lawrence Bishnoi and a criminal group in Punjab & Haryana.
