This young man says service is in his dna. His mother is also was a police officer. It almost seems like it never crossed his mind not to follow in their footsteps. I said to him, considering what happened to your dad and uncle, dont you realize how dangerous this job is. He said, i do, but i also know i have to do this because its a part of my dna. We hear a lot of stories like that of young people whose parents, firefighters who died. He lost more than 343 firefighters on this day.
