COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Beech Grove woman was unharmed after she reportedly lost control of her car and smashed into a building early Saturday morning.
The Columbus Police Department (CPD) was called to Ko’s Martial Arts Academy, 2490 Taylor Rd., at 3:30 a.m., and found a car halfway into the north side of the structure.
The officers spoke to the driver, Anna Gillespie, 24, of Indianapolis, who told them that she was traveling west on 25th Street, attempted to turn south on to Taylor Road, lost control of her vehicle, and crashed into the building.
CPD says Gillespie passed field sobriety exercises and refused medical attention at the scene.
