4,936 COVID positive cases detected in Assam on Thursday

GUWAHATI: As many as 4,936 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the State on Thursday, 1,353 in Kamrup (M). During the day, 46 people died of the virus. Positivity rate in the State on the day is 8.04 per cent.

Covid Vaccine for All: Worried over the COVID-19 vaccination drive not being able to keep pace with the rising Corona positive cases, the leaders of the AASU (All Assam Students Union) have said that a fear psychosis has gripped the people as death lurks in every corner of the State.
In a statement issued on Thursday, AASU president Dipanko Kumar Nath and general secretary Sankor Jyoti Baruah said that the people of the State are aware of the pandemic, and hence they come forward for taking vaccines.
