Right now people are gathering for a vigil at the very crosswalk where a little girl was hit and killed in a stroller while crossing the street with her parents. They have brought a white stroller and flowers to the crash site at fourth and king street. They say this is about Holding Space for people to grieve. They say loved ones have also lost people to accidents. The girl and her father were hit by the suv at the height of rush hour as many people were heading to the giants game at oracle park. It was a chaotic scene as people tried to lift the car with the young girl underneath. The girl died at the hospital and her father is also being treated for lifethreatening injuries. Police said the family was not far from the area. We just learned the driver of the suv, a 71yearold woman, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter. Massacre at uvaldes robb elementary, tempers flared at the latest report on the Uvalde Police departments response during the School Shooting. My sons birthday is on tuesday. You know how im going to celebrate that . At the cemetery. I should not be doing that. Reporter for the first time today, the community and the city council heard the findings of a monthslong independent investigation requested by the city. Former Police Detective jesse prado led the investigation. All of the officers lieutenant martinez, his actions i found were in good faith. Reporter he concluded that many officers in the school that day acted in good faith and did not violate policy in their reaction to the shooting. He said the officers didnt have the proper training that day or the tools, like a riflerated shield to overtake the gunman. How do you go to bed at night .
