PANAMA CITY When Angel s BBQ owner Victor Hunt and Renwick Chisolm get cooking in the test kitchen, you never know what s going to come out just that you ll want to eat it.
Angel s BBQ is closed on Sundays and Mondays for now, Hunt said, but that doesn t mean the cooking or the preparation stops.
Test Kitchen Tuesdays start next week
On April 12, Hunt and Chisolm perfected their new original recipes in the restaurant s 8-foot by 20-foot kitchen. One by one, the dishes made their way from the kitchen window to an outside table on the front porch, where I was able to get a sneak peek. From baked potatoes loaded with pulled pork or brisket to sandwiches, seafood and two renditions of shrimp and grits, Hunt and Chisolm had prepared seven new dishes by 10 a.m.
