Thank you for that nice introduction. I will be talk about one of my more favorite topics relating to the home. That is early electric appliances. These are the types of appliances that your grandmother may not have used. Perhaps your great grandmother or great great grandmother. We are talking late 19th, early 20th century. Sometime between 1890 to 1920. What i will be talking about specifically is why it took so long for these portable electric cooking appliances to be a adopted. You can see some early electric appliances, probably at a sanitary fair. The new york and queens electric light company. Between 1912 and 1914. You can see in the cabinet a whole array of appliances available to the happy homemaker during that period. Consumers, even with this picture, consumers do not automatically adopt using portable electric cooking appliances merely upon the introduction of ellipticity into the household. You will not find condominium apartments or hotels right on the beachfront. Its open public land because some of these people bought the land and gave it to the city so it would always the open for the public to enjoy. Over the years, tourism has changed dramatically. The original people who came her captive audiences. There were a lot of things created to keep them here and happy. Once the automobile came, people were free to stay and then take all. We had a more transient type of tourists coming. Now we have people coming just for the weekend. They can drive up and just spend a weekend. Other people came in for just a couple of days.
