Her primary Source Research involves letters and diaries, military records and oral histories and photographs and maps from that time and nelson write specifically about nine individuals who worked toward Self Determination in the fight for the region. Some of these people are fairly known to us like frontiersmen, and wanita who we get to know their stories lost to history until now. And nelson unearth their stories to show the importance of actions even in the midst of a larger military conflict.
