Those looking to start the weekend off with laughter will find just that at the Scotts Valley Cultural and Performing Arts Center Friday as local comedian DNA brings four comics to the stage in a benefit for the Scotts Valley Community Theater Guild.
From Oct. 4-7, there will be no shortage of places in Santa Cruz to go for laughs, as the Santa Cruz Comedy Festival is back in town bringing 40 comedians to 10 venues throughout the city.

Although only performing together since 2007, Moonalice have quickly become a staple of the Bay Area concert scene. The 10-piece yes, 10-piece band has already played big concerts such as BottleRock and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival and even got to open for U2 at the Oakland Coliseum in 2011. This Saturday, they can be seen at the Felton Music Hall.
