RUSKINS View in Kirkby Lonsdale had two of its bins thrown over the railings which overlooked the iconic beauty spot. The bins had been torn from their foundations and cast down the hill from the path way overlooking the landscape view, which was named after 19th century poet John Ruskin. BEAUTY: Ruskins View in Kirkby Lonsdale Images of the vandalism circulated online and triggered outrage from the local community. One of the bins had rolled half way down the hill, while the other had been thrown further. Chairman of Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council, Alan Muirhead, described the act as mindless’.
