The Samajwadi Party will organise its two-day national executive in Kolkata from March 18 to discuss the party's policies and strategies for assembly elections in the three Hindi heartland states later this year and Lok Sabha polls next year.
Taking a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's decision to to campaign for Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said "any party she campaigns for will lose" as her "Hindi is not comprehensible" and "her political image is against sanatani".
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will campaign for Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh and her Trinamool Congress will not contest the election in that state, Samajwadi Party vice-president Kiranmay Nanda said on Tuesday.
Assembly election 2022: As the Bharatiya Janata Party announced its list of candidates for the first two phases of pollingĀ in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, it dropped 20 sitting MLAs. Five of them are from the Agra region.
