The subject matter covered by the selected titles is very wide-ranging, with projects based on bestselling books and a live-action sentimental comedy for children with puppets, a colourful adventure film inspired by the extraordinary life of the explorer Alexander Laime, who spent an incredible time together with his family in the Venezuelan jungle in the 1950s, or a musical set in Yugoslavia after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, through to an animated series looking at climate change, diversity and an inclusive and conscious society, a humorous preschool series on how to deal with your emotions, and a documentary on puberty.

Kids Kino Industry, an international co-production forum and networking event aimed at children’s content, is accepting new projects for its 2021 edition. Part of the Kids Kino International Film Festival, along with Kids Kino.Lab, a script development workshop, Kids Kino Industry unspools a wide range of initiatives to support the development, production and dissemination of quality kids’ content within the film industry.

Kids Kino Industry (KKI) is continuing its series of monthly Industry Talks with two webinars in the upcoming weeks that will feature conversations with creators of new content for young audiences, both for live-action and animated films, that are ready to be released. Kids Kino Industry is inviting not only filmmakers, but also distributors, marketing experts and other industry professionals to follow these discussions.
The first KKI Talks entitled “GROWING UP – new CEE Productions for a young audience” will be held on Monday 26 April from 15:00-16:00 CEST. Three projects hailing from Lithuania, Serbia and Poland will feature as case studies for this discussion that will explore the growth of productions for younger audiences in the region.
