Five people were injured while 45 people were forced to flee their homes due to the damage brought by the 6.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Davao del Sur and other provinces in Mindanao on Sunday.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said the five injured victims were from the province of Cotabato while the 45 individuals from Davao del Sur were temporarily evacuated to the UP Mindanao Faculty and Staff Housing as their houses were either damaged or subject to structural damage inspection.

The OCD reported that three houses in Bansalan town of Davao del Sur were damaged by the quake while a university gym and a barangay hall in Davao City were also reported damaged.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 8) At least 15 people were injured after a 6.1 magnitude quake hit Davao del Sur on Sunday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management said.
In its Monday report, the NDRRMC said those hurt were from Cotabato Province, which felt up to Intensity 5 of the quake over the weekend. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology rated this intensity as strong.
Eight landslides were reported in two municipalities of Cotabato Province seven in Makilala and one in M lang.
No other details were provided on the identities and specific location of the casualties.
