Among the activities will be a carnival and wrestling show, a local version of the Kindness Rocks Project and handouts to the first 300 children to register.
Also part of the festivities are videos online with more activities for the kids.
Registration is online at https://bit.ly/32ERYU8.
Volunteers have already begun stuffing the commemorative tote bags that registered kids can pick up Saturday morning in the parking lot in front of Sweet Frog in Burnham. Distribution runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The bags have activity books, coloring bags, crayons and colored pencils, stickers, foam crafts, a pasta necklace or bracelet kit, pencils, Silly Putty, candy, markers, keychains, a toy surprise and more. Most exciting is a cookie kit from Key Club.

MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata County Commissioners convened in the conference room of the Bousum Building Tuesday morning for a brief business meeting. During the public comment portion of the meeting, Lisa Bollinger of the Juniata Valley Behavioral & Developmental Services gave an update on the department’s participation in the upcoming virtual Kid Connection event.
According to Bollinger the event will focus basically on elementary aged students. For this year’s event, a committee has put together canvas goodie bags which contain information regarding the well being of children’s mental health, tips on mindfulness, as well as coloring pages and other fun take home activities. “Just something fun for the children to keep them healthy and happy both physically and emotionally.” Bollinger said.
