Woman teacher alleges violation of rules in e-transfer

July 7, 2021 TIMERGARA: A woman teacher hailing from Lower Dir on Tuesday asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai to look into her application for transfer. Talking to local journalists, Zainab Begum complained that she had applied for e-transfer under the e-transfer policy of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department. The teacher said that she was shocked to see that she was dropped in sheer violation of the rules. “Since my first appointment in 2014, I have been serving as Drawing Master in Government Girls High School Shalkandai, which is more than 21 kilometers away from my home in Balambat,” she added.

Minister asks govt deptts to ensure timely completion of projects July 5, 2021 PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Parliamentary Affairs Akbar Ayub Khan said on Sunday that government departments should cooperate with each other for timely completion of developmental projects. He was addressing a joint meeting of the local heads of WSSC Mardan, TMA Mardan and Communications Department at the LG Secretariat in Peshawar, said a handout. The meeting took stock of the hygiene, sanitation, and development schemes in the area. The pace of work on the projects was also reviewed and necessary decisions were taken. Akbar Ayub said that coordination among the heads and officials of all departments was essential to ensure the quality and timely completion of development schemes. He said that the goal of sustainable development could be achieved through the confidence of the people.

ECP to unveil LG polls schedule soon: minister

July 4, 2021 PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government Akbar Ayub Khan on Saturday said the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would soon announce the schedule for local body elections in the province. “The ECP has issued notification for the appointment of district returning officers (DROs), returning officers and presiding officers for 34 districts of the province. However, the delimitation process for Peshawar would be completed by July 8 after which DROs and the rest of the election staff will be notified,” he added. The minister said the ECP has not notified the election staff so the local body polls could be delayed due to incomplete delimitation in other provinces.
