Our Correspondent Kohima, Nov. 10 (EMN): The Commissioner and Secretary of Horticulture and Women Development, Nagaland, Anenla Sato, on Thursday, encouraged floriculturists in the state to venture beyond seasonal demand by making floriculture a year-long business, and upscaling  the production in order to meet the demands within the state. She lamented that the state spends over crores of rupees for importing flowers, and therefore urged the flower growers at Sechü Zubza to make their place a floriculture hub and improve the economy of the state. Further, she challenged the people to work harder in order to make the stretch from Piphema to Zubza a flower cluster by roping in government agencies for technical support. Nagaland: Imnatiba inaugurates school of excellence in skill development

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (EMN):  Advisor, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Industries & Commerce, Imnatiba, on Monday inaugurated the first School of Excellence in Skill Development in Nagaland at Government Higher Secondary School, Sechu, Zubza. A DIPR report stated that the advisor in his address said the School of Excellence in Skill Development in collaboration with the School Education (DoSE) and National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) is a new of initiatives taken up by the department in government schools. The initiative is aimed at a paradigm shift to give new hope to the students and let them venture out into a new horizon, to let them get access to self-employment  and other avenues as even as the state is facing a huge unemployment problem.
