Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) is progressing water supply system expansion with Khonkaen-Namphong and PWA Udon Thani-Nongkhai-Nong Bualamphu projects to strengthen capacity and ensure sufficient supply of clean and safe water to over 100,000 customers.
In September, locals living in the vicinity of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF)'s airbase in Udon Thani lodged a petition with the House committee on foreign affairs about the noise pollution which aircraft in the area produce.

KHON KAEN: Three people were injured in a head-on collision between two pickups caused by water buffaloes crossing a road in Mancha Khiri district on Wednesday.
The accident occurred about 8.30am on Mancha Khiri-Khok Phochai road, Pol Capt Pongpichit Thanapanpakdi said.
According to witnesses, a mother buffalo and her male calf ran out in front of a Ford Ranger heading for Khok Phochai district from Macha Khiri.
