LAHORE:Some unidentified suspects killed an elderly couple under mysterious circumstances in Sabzazar police limits here on Monday.
The victims identified as Syed Anis-ud-Din, 60, and Nasira Bibi, 45, lived in their house in Hassan Town. On the day of the incident, they were spotted dead in their house. Anis’s brother-in-law from first wife, who lived nearby, informed the police. The victims were stabbed. Police launched an investigation.
According to an initial report, Nasira was second wife of Anis. His first wife died sometimes ago. He had two children from the first wife. After the death of his first wife, he married Nasira. His both sons were settled abroad. His in-laws from first wife also lived nearby his house. Police said the bodies were decomposed. LAHORE : The Punjab government imposed smart lockdown in 13 areas of the provincial capital on Saturday to control the spread of coronavirus.
According to the Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD) Punjab spokesperson, smart lockdown was being imposed in the areas where excessive corona cases had been reported.
The smart lockdown has been implemented in some streets of Rang Mehal, inside Sheranwala Gate, Bhati Gate, Islamia Park, Ravi Road, Qila Lachman Singh, Kasurpura, Badami Bagh, Khokhar Road, Data Nagar, Siddiquia Colony and Iqbal Park. All shopping malls, restaurants, private and government offices will remain closed during the lockdown in these areas. Smart lockdown has been imposed to limit the residents’ movement in the most affected places and it could protect citizens of other areas from COVID-19. Following a surge in the number of coronavirus cases, the government has decided to impose smart lockdown in another 13 areas of the provincial metropolis.
Punjab Primary and Secondary Health Secretary Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman indicated that smart lockdown has been imposed in areas where reports of coronavirus tests are being received positive. He highlighted that smart lockdown has been imposed in affected streets and areas of Rang Mahal, inside Sheranwala Gate, Mochi Gate, Shahalam, Bhatti Gate, Islamia Park, Ravi Road, Kasur Pura, Badami Bagh, Khokhar Road and Iqbal Park.
