Over 150 student volunteers who took part in the Khelo India Youth Games hosted at Gautam Buddha University (GBU) in May have alleged that they are yet to receive any stipends. The government has also not approved a bill of around Rs 1.5 crore for electricity charges and the accommodation that the university provided to participants. Officials said the varsity was now in a pickle about holding an upcoming women's boxing league as volunteers are unwilling to sign up for further events.
