Khalsa Aid raises over Rs 1 crore in 3 days through crowdfunding

New Delhi: Khalsa Aid India, the humanitarian organisation known for providing support to victims of natural disasters and civil conflicts, has launched a crowdfunding drive on ImpactGuru.com towards procurement of Oxygen Concentrators.
The campaign has been receiving an overwhelming response since it went live on May 2. In just 3 days, Khalsa Aid India ImpactGuru fundraiser page has raised over Rs 1 crore, cumulatively contributed from over 8500 donors. The single highest donation received on the crowdfunding campaign in USD is $10,000 and in INR is 2.50 lakh.

New Delhi [India], May 6 (ANI): As COVID-19 continue to ravage the country, Khalsa Aid, an international humanitarian relief organization, has extended help in this time of crisis and is providing free oxygen concentrators to COVID positive patients in the Delhi-NCR region.
Amarpreet Singh, Director India, Khalsa Aid said more than 500 oxygen concentrators have been made available to positive patients so far.
Khalsa Aid aims to provide 5,000 more oxygen concentrations to the people infected with COVID-19 in the country. CHANDIGARH: Khalsa Aid India will provide oxygen concentrators for free to Covid-19 patients who are in home isolation in the national capital. The NGO launched a helpline in this regard on Friday evening and had already received over 1,200 requests.

“We have decided to give free of cost oxygen concentrators for Covid-19 patients who are in home isolation in Delhi as patients are in dire need of oxygen in government and private hospitals,” said Amarpreet Singh, director, Khalsa Aid Project (Asia Chapter).
Singh said they will be providing 65 oxygen concentrators in the first lot. He added that they will procure more oxygen concentrators in the coming weeks, taking the number to 100.
