Actress and executive producer, Sonia Mbele. It might have taken a little while for Mzansi to warm up to reality TV but now, it s one of the most popular genres.  From celebrities and influencers showing off their lives, to cheating partners being caught live on camera and addicts trying to get clean, reality TV has become a favourite for South African viewers. One of the women who s bringing this content is actress and executive producer Sonia Mbele (44), who says it s been a joy to watch the country fall in love with reality TV.  “There was this thing that reality TV is scripted and that is what I wanted to dispel. People on these shows are not actors, it is who they are and what they show is their daily lives. I am so happy this where we are now,” she says.
