Not a very welldefined hurricane but once again, wr watching this thing very, very closely and its making its way up the coast. You can see what we have going on as far as North Carolina already seeing some heavy rain making its way in there. The winds starting to gust across that region, and now were seeing the cloud cover. If were you out earlier you could look up and actually start to see the clouds in sandy as its making its way up north. The brand new track just in from the National Hurricane center. Dont be fooled by the fact it is no longer a hurricane and moving down to Tropical Storm. That has absolutely nothing to do with how big of an impact that storm is going to have on us. We all knew all along it would not be a tropical system by the time it got this far north because the water over the ocean is so much colder this time of the year. That is causing the weakening. Rain drops along the coast of North Carolina are the leading drops now from what is once again Hurricane Sandy. No weather concerns today. A good day to clean the gutters and storm drains and get yourselves ready. Tomorrow the rain drops move in. Cuba and the caribbean are cleaning up the destruction from sandy after the hurricane packed a punch through the day yesterday. In the caribbean the death toll is up to 43 people including 29 in haiti. The numbers are expected to rise because more than a quarter Million People are still living in temporary, unsecured housing from the earthquake there from 2010. Flooding is also a concern as river levels are also on the rise. As we continue to track Hurricane Sandy people are getting ready for big storm.
