India and Kenya have witnessed growth in collaboration in various sectors such as trade, economy, education, health, and people-to-people contact, according to India s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The two countries have also worked closely at the UN Security Council as non-permanent members. India has prioritized engagement with African nations, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to all G20 member countries to include the African Union in G20 membership. Kenya s Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Defence, Aden Bare Duale, praised the cordial relations between the two countries and congratulated India on the soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.
