A major change . Rejected . Tonight on the way 911 dispatch is handled in Waukesha County. The city was looking at merging its dispatch with the county. As cbs 58s evan kruegel reports. It would save the city millions of dollars. But would require the county to hire dozens of positions. nat its another busy day inside the Waukesha County Communications Center which fields nearly 500 emergency calls every day. A proposal making its way through the city would have made that the city of waukesha to the facility 06 46 the idea is, can we save money and improve services by combining our city dispatch with county dispatch . At a Common Council meeting alderman were presented with a new study weighing the pros and cons of a merger. That study says the switch would save the city about 600thousanddollars a year by reducing city staff.
