This case we are talking about the 911 system where lives could be at stake here. This 911 outage occurred on february second for about six hours. At first, people calling with emergencies may not have been able to get through or their calls may have been dropped. Accor ding to the department. Once metro transferred calls to the henderson and North Las Vegas call centers there was still a significant wait. Possibly up to 50 minutes.
