On the Road Again: 2021 s Country and Americana Tours

Since March 2020, the novel coronavirus pandemic has kept musicians at home, grounding all major tours for months. There s a bit of light at the end of the tunnel, however: Some artists rescheduled their 2020 treks to 2021. Darryl Worley is out playing smaller shows now, though, as are Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson, and more artists are poised to do the same soon. Rescheduled tours, from everyone from Chris Stapleton to Reba McEntire, are scheduled to begin in April and onward. Dan + Shay opted to wait the longest to resume shows: Their arena tour will kick off in September. Of course, the pandemic is still raging in the United States, so unfortunately, none of these artists tour plans are guaranteed; in fact, Maren Morris rescheduled, and then canceled, her RSVP: The Tour, and other artists (Kane Brown, for example) have again pushed back their plans. The Boot will keep this list and photo gallery updated with changes and new tours as they re announced.

Country Music Tours Scheduled for 2021: Full List

Country Music Tours Scheduled for 2021: Full List Country musicians hope to return to the road in 2021, with several planning full tours for the year. Kenny Chesney,Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton are among the artists with arena and stadium dates on the calendar for 2021. The words subject to change have never meant so much as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shows few signs of tapering as of January (A vaccine appears to be the only way many promoters will allow fans through the gates). There s little doubt the first artists on this list (Kane Brown, Stapleton, Maren Morris) have contingency plans or at least have an idea on how they ll keep crowds socially distant when they play live in 2021.

Pollstar | 2020*—A Year Forever Qualified

By: Andy Gensler 2020 will forever have a huge, indelible asterisk beside it. It will serve as a stark reminder that the most challenging year our industry has ever endured was an anomaly, an aberration, a pox on our businesses, one that deviated widely from all norms and can’t end fast enough.  Congratulations to Sir Elton John, whose phenomenal “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” crowned Pollstar’s Year-End Top 100 Worldwide Tours with $87.1 million grossed from Nov. 30 to March 7. His multi-year trek, which was No. 2 on 2019’s tally with a $212 million gross, is shaping up into something special and will further burnish Sir Elton’s incredible legacy as it continues into 2023. And kudos, too, to the rest of the chart’s Top 10, rounded out by Celine Dion, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, U2, Queen + Adam Lambert, Post Malone, Eagles, Jonas Brothers, Dead & Company and Andrea Bocelli – but for one thing: 2020 .
