MOHAWK, NY – The historic Fort Herkimer Church opened its doors for their second annual Christmas services on Sunday.
About a half dozen people braved the cold inside the old building to worship together and sing Christmas carols.
That’s because the only heat was provided by a wood-burning stove in the back of the church, and the only light – with the exception of a few Christmas decorations – came through the windows courtesy of Mother Nature.
