COLUMBUS, Ohio A man was shot and killed during a dispute that started at a New Year s Eve party in southeast Columbus.
Columbus police said Derrick Green, 30, was hosting the party and got involved in an argument with 31-year-old Kenneth Palmer, who was attending the party.
Police said Palmer left, but returned later on Friday morning and the dispute continued.
It is then that Green shot Palmer, police said.
Officers were called to the shooting scene in the 3700 block of Kimberly Parkway North near Courtright Road at approximately 4 a.m.

A dispute at a New Year s party later led to a fatal shooting Friday morning at an apartment complex on the Southeast Side, one of several shootings reported by Columbus police.
A person called 911 at 4:02 a.m. Friday to report he had shot someone three times outside an apartment in the 3700 block of Kimberly Parkway North near Courtright Road, police dispatch said.
Columbus police and fire medics responded to the Courtyards of Kimberly apartment complex, where Kenneth Palmer, 31, was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Palmer was transported in critical condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:37 a.m.
