hayward today. we are getting reports that a bart train struck a tree or a tree branch that toppled due to the high winds. it s causing a major delay on the fremont line in both directions and there is no bart service south of hayward. no injuries have been reported but the train is stopped on the tracks. winds knocked down trees. there is a wind advisory through 6 p.m. tonight. crews worked on cutting this up tree in san francisco. it fell down by the intersection of geary and arguello. in sunnyvale, a driver collided head on into another downed tree on 101. the driver is okay, the car though not so much. that windy weather also being blamed for leaving thousands of people in the dark. 27,000 are without power in the santa cruz mountains as of 10 a.m. pg&e sent us this update on the outages in the south bay, nearly 1400. nearly 300 on the peninsula. and about 300 in the east bay. 4800 in the north bay. well, the notorious santa ana winds have prompted a local emergency i

[ bagpipes ] reporter: kapoot s mother, wife and daughters were sitting behind the flag-draped coffin at vallejo high school. so far we ve heard from vallejo s police chief, the assistant basketball coach and some of the members of the team. we rode to school and talked about the usual things about school, grades and the team. as i stepped out of the car. i turned around and walked away not knowing that would be my last moments with him. reporter: thousands of police officers from all over the state are paying their respects. kapoot was killed during a bank robbery chase november 17th. the suspect shot him in the back. tremendous love
