Ala. The two teams combined to leave 18 runners on base over the seven-inning contest. UL Monroe left 12 runners on base while the Chanticleers stranded six.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Kandra Lamb got herself out of a first-inning jam and never looked back. After striking out ULM’s leadoff hitter Jayden Mount and getting Alysia Anderson to fly out, Lamb walked Korie Kreps and Kennedy Page reached on an error. Lamb got out of the jam by having Kennedy Johnson hit into a fielder’s choice. Lamb would keep the Warhawk bats silent as she gave up only one hit (a single to Jessica Williams in the second) as she picked up the win. With Lamb dealing, Louisiana seized control at the plate by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning.

Photo by Raymond Partsch III The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns began their final series of the regular season with a 10-1 win over in-state rival ULM on Thursday night at Lamson Park. HOW IT HAPPENED: ULM took the lead in the top of the first as leadoff hitter Jayden Mount hit a solo home run off of starter Summer Ellyson. Ellyson would then walk Alysia Anderson, give up a fielder’s choice to Korie Kreps (Anderson was out at second) and then a single to Kennedy Page to load the bases.
