TROY, ALA. – The Coastal Carolina softball team ended their season on Tuesday afternoon as they were outlasted, 8-6, by the ULM Warhawks in the first round of the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship tournament at the Troy Softball Complex in Troy. Ala.
The two teams combined to leave 18 runners on base over the seven-inning contest. UL Monroe left 12 runners on base while the Chanticleers stranded six.

BOONE, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina softball team ended the regular season on Friday afternoon as they rolled past the Appalachian State Mountaineers with a sweep at Swyassink/Lloyd Family Stadium behind strong pitching and timely hitting.
In the pair of victories, the Chanticleers improved to 9-15 in Sun Belt Conference play and 21-23 overall. The Mountaineers dropped to 8-12 in conference and 26-17 overall.

The App State softball team defeated Coastal Carolina in game one of the three-game series, 7-5. With the win, App State clinches at least the sixth seed in the Sun Belt Tournament, avoiding the single elimination play-in game. The Mountaineers are now 26-15 and 8-10 in conference play.
The Chanticleers (19-23, 7-15 SBC) battled until the end, coming back from a six-run deficit to cut the Mountaineer lead to two in the top of the seventh inning. Coastal Carolina had the tying run on base, but a ground out to second base ended the game for an App State victory.
