MANCHESTER, NH – Last Spring Zoey Martin looked out her window and saw surveyors taking measurements in her Kennard Road apartment complex and she knew that was not a good sign.
The past year was not a good one for Martin. Her husband was hospitalized five times during the year, she aggravated an old injury and had to stop working in September, and the cherry on top was a notice from her landlord that her rent was going up from $1,274 a month to $1,510.
Monday, Feb. 15
Car theft on Baker Circle: At 7:15 a.m., a caller reported their car stolen from their driveway overnight. The car was reportedly unlocked, with the keys inside. Police later located the car and towed it, alerting the owner.
Vandalism on Beacon Street: At 4:41 p.m., a caller told police someone keyed her truck, also putting stickers on the vehicle. Police took a report.
Threats on Harvard Street: At 7:44 p.m., police received a report of a man who threatened someone by saying, “You won’t make it home.” Police rendered assistance.
Break-in on University Road: At 9:19 p.m., a caller told police she believed someone might have broken into her mother’s home, as the basement door was left wide open. Police rendered assistance.

A man in his 20s has died after suffering a serious injury at a house on the outskirts of Bristol, with a 25-year-old in custody on suspicion of murder.
Avon and Somerset Police were called out to a home in Kingswood at around 3am yesterday morning, where they discovered the victim.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly afterwards.
A 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody, as police appeal for any witnesses who were near the home in Kennard Road to come forward.
