Drug investigation leads to five arrests in south Lafourche
Five people were arrested over the past week in south Lafourche following a narcotics investigation, authorities said.
The investigation led to the arrests of Roxie Toups, 26, and Jaron Rousse, 19, both of Galliano, Larose residents Alexander Williams, 28, and Kendell Evans, 23, and Haywood Boyd, 23, of Raceland, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
The arrests resulted from warrants obtained by narcotics agents.
Agents arrested Toups May 20 during a traffic stop in Galliano. She was found with fentanyl in her possession and was taken into custody, authorities said. She is charged with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and illegal use of drugs in the presence of a juvenile.
