Free cycle training in Kendal
People in Kendal can take advantage of free cycle training from next month, thanks to the town’s cycle club.
Kendal Cycle Club was awarded £1,750 by South Lakeland District Council’s Climate Change Community Fund to deliver training for 60 adults.
The aim of the course is to give cyclists the skills and confidence to ride in diverse road environments and tackle complex and busy road junctions.
The one-day training will be provided by Cyclewise, a Cumbria-based Bikeability training provider.
Following on from the training, Kendal Cycle Club will provide support for people who wish to do more cycling or explore different aspects of cycling.
