Ken Busby, Director of the Tulsa Route 66 Commission, said the campaign comes at a time when many businesses are starting to rebound after the pandemic. He said the goal is to boost economic development and is a part of a bigger effort to preserve and revitalize Route 66 through Tulsa. Businesses along the route will take part each in its own way, including food, arts and shops. Organizers are hopeful people will travel and spend time in the area as travel begins to increase.
