The Community Rallied around this little boy saying he became the community over the past few weeks as they have been searching for him. He hopes lonzie can spend eternity in piece. That little boy didnt need to be discarded like a piece of trash. Today we are able to take what we believe to be him from being disposed just like that in the hopes that he can spend his eternity in somewhere that is peaceful and not somewhere that is basically a garbage heap. Bob you can hear it in his voice. The community took his little boy to heart. A brief break down of the case. July 24th he was reported missing. Boy was abducted inside a stolen car. That story unravelled and august 3rd it becomes a homicide. And then on august 18th, lana barton is chargeded with child neglect and then she was charged with drug abuse charges later on. Time later. Neighbors tell me the little girl lived with her family here at the fairfax apartments. They recently moved in. The father is an under grad student. Apparently she was in her bedroom with an older fell back asleep. When she woke up again, im told she discovered her 8yearold sister had fallen out of the bedroom window. From what we can tell, window screens slide up and down on a track. It looks easy to open and close. Special victims are out here. It does involve the death of a child. I talked with one of the building owners who had no comment. I talked with the property manager who wouldnt go on camera. She was too shaken up. Construction crews who are working inside this building, they are in tears. Its a devastating situation out here. When i tell people my story, they dont believe it. I guess i wouldnt believe the story if someone else were telling it, but im telling it. And its true. Every word of it. It started when i was born. 56 years ago. But the real story began when i was 19 years old when i went to college. It was 1980. It was the first day of school at Sullivan County Community College up in the catskills about 110 miles from where i grew up. So i drove up there alone. I at least had this really old car. It was a volvo and it was a 1970 volvo. Had like 130,000 miles on it. The car was burgundy and the hood was green. Actually, the car was called the old bitch. But the old bitch got me there. Sullivan was a Community College. This wasnt some Longstanding Institution of higher learning. All these Station Wagons are dropping kids off. I was nervous. I just got to the school. I didnt know anybody. I was a freshman. I was never the captain of the Football Team in high school. So i was never really like popular.
But nobody said anything. I think hes interesting going to sporting events the way he has and the choices that hes making. I wonder what its about. But it is if nothing else, it does give the media something to talk about other than whats happening here that he doesnt want talked about. Yeah. Listen, i think its great if he goes.
