Binder Park Zoo selected as recipient for Lowe’s “100 Hometowns” project By Will Kriss Jul 20, 2021 | 5:27 PM BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Tuesday, Binder Park Zoo (BPZ) in Battle Creek announced that it has been selected as one of 100 recipients for the Lowe’s “100 Hometowns” project. The project awards were announced to the public Tuesday. More than 2,2000 submissions were considered for the project, which is also an initiative to celebrate the Lowe’s centennial. Details of each of the 100 Hometowns project and their progress may be found at Lowe’s 100 Hometowns page. Binder Park Zoo’s submission sought support for a new exhibit called Zoorassic Park. Currently under construction on the site of the former children’s zoo, the exhibit will showcase a collection of prehistoric creatures.
