The Amos Rehabilitation Keep in Port Aransas has taken in almost 250 cold-stunned sea turtles this week. Staff and volunteers are getting them ready to be released back into the Gulf.
The group saw a need during turtle rescue events. People would collect a few turtles and have to leave the field to deliver the turtles to safety. A large capacity trailer changes that.
