Lake Odessa man killed in tree-cutting accident Sentinel Staff SEBEWA TWP. A 62-year-old Lake Odessa man died Saturday while he was attempting to cut down a tree, according to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office. Ionia County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 11:56 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, to Knox Road near Keefer Highway in Sebewa Township in reference to a man injured in a tree-cutting accident. The sheriff s office reported a tree had fallen on top of the man while he was attempting to cut it down. The man’s injuries were severe, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
