Good morning. We are hearing of the seven injuries in the crash. All were rushed from here to olympia hospital. Illinois state police say the crash involved to vehicles in the southbound lanes of the 557 which remained closed for reconstruction of the crash. All traffic been diverted onto lincoln highway and the closure is expected to remain in place for at least the next three hours. Not clear how the crash happened around 215 a m but the impact caused the ejection of a woman from the car who suffered a serious leg injury. Five others including children were also transported for treatment along with the person from the other vehicle. None of the injuries are believed to be lifethreatening.
