Alison parker in front of the camera, photo journalist adam ward behind it when a gunman opened fire. 24yearold parker and 27yearold ward were killed as colleagues and viewers watched on tv. People behind us in the news room crying. Reporter Vicki Gardner seriously injured. Police zeroed in on Vester Flanagan aka Bryce Williams. Flanagan later died at the hospital from a selfinflicted gun shot wound. Flanagan called abc news and sent a letter explaining the Charleston Church shooting was his tipping point.
