Grace Langella scored three goals, including the game-winner for Hofstra on Wednesday.
What at first didn’t look like a back-and-forth affair became one that came down to the wire.
Grace Langella assisted Arianna Esposito with 16:10 left in the first half, giving Hofstra an early four-goal lead over Saint Joseph’s. The Hawks quickly responded, scoring four of the next five.
What ensued from there was the textbook definition of back-and-forth. It was Langella who later gave Hofstra a 10-9 lead with 8:31 remaining that would prove to be the final. Neither team held an advantage of more than one goal in the second half.

A true field general and natural leader, she impressed the Duke coaching staff immediately this fall. She’ll join an attacking corps that was firing on all cylinders l
