Actor Vikrant Massey recently issued an apology after an old tweet of his, featuring a controversial cartoon of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, resurfaced and sparked criticism for potentially hurting Hindu sentiments. In his apology, Massey expressed regret for any offence caused and clarified that he never intended to disrespect the Hindu community. The tweet, originally shared in 2018 in connection with the Kathua and Unnao rape cases, was promptly deleted by Massey.
"We welcome the judgement of the Supreme Court, and we are hopeful that we will finally get complete justice as Shubam Sangra is the main accused in the case," the girl's family said.
The Supreme Court Wednesday ordered that Shubam Sangra, accused in the 2018 rape and murder of a minor girl in Kathua, should be tried as adult and not juvenile.
