Alternatives to Incarceration held a public meeting to get input from the community on improving Kansas City's jail system. The conversation instead became a debate on pro-jail versus anti-jail.
With once exception, incumbent members of the Kansas City Council running for re-election had an easy time of it Tuesday, securing new four-year terms. But the council also will include seven new faces.
History will be made and representation will expand regardless of who is elected on June 20 for the 4th District At-Large Kansas City Missouri council seat.
