This is a map of Shenandoah National park. Skyline drive cuts across the Mountain Ridge for a hundred miles. But this area im circling is the spot that the crews focus the effort on. This is because the black dot represents a park ranger saturday evening found nicole mittendorffs 2009 mini cooper abandoned. Close to a hundred people from more than a dozen state, local and nonprofit agencies are now on the ground here at shenandoah. There is a makeshift command post tracking the search crews in real time with the g. P. S. Technology. The park service has placed yellow tape at many of the trail heads here to ensure hikers do not hamper the operation by accident.
