Projects and theyre aligned with these approved projects and then at the eback end take s a ba bank credit. At the end of the day thats going to deliver about 8. 1 million to this project. [ applause ]. I just want to really acknowledge the team that really have pushed this forward quickly on this project. First of all , david wilkin sos has been our consultant from Northern California Community Loan fund. Thank you, david. Thank you for helping me understand this weave of stuff and so forth. Leading the way to make sure that we anchor the new market tax credit that we needed for the project is the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Community Investment fund, or as we call it sfif. Without them jumping in and p putting their projestamp on thi project, i dont know if othes s would have joined as easily. We just wareally want to thank e sfif for supporting us. Along side of the sfif, San Francisco sfif was california loan fund who in vvested with u early as well. The group that
Like the shelter extension policy. Remember the hearing where they said, like, after 60 days, they would throw the Homeless People out on the street . I remember it. I have the paper of it, and this is i mean, we homeless, we cannot trust government if youre going to tell us to leave our property and then dump us on the street in 30 days. Its this the beds getting too close together. Like, the picture that im trying to get to, its theyre putting beds directly next to each other, and these are total strangers are supposed to sleep next to total strangers. No nothing about spread of disease, bronchitis, and because theyre homeless, were supposed to [inaudible] president yee thank you. Public comment is closed. One was going to be a police station, one was going to be a butterfly museum, one was going to be Affordable Housing. I am pleased to say that today, they are all Affordable Housing for the city and county of San Francisco. That is remarkable. [applause] supervisor peskin now, it is true that i wanted this site, even though my friends at the Barbary Coast neighbors disagreed, i wanted this to be a temporary navigation site. But the mayor and i and supervisor haney have teamed up to find one not so far away. And i also want to agree with the mayor that Affordable Housing is actually not that affordable, and we all know the numbers that we just saw, the homeless count. And its just not San Francisco, its portland, seattle, and los angeles, conti
Appreciation to the John Stewart Company and bridge housing. The design is attractive. Theyve gone through a number of extra measures to make sure its not a boring, institutional structure, and i certainly appreciate all the different opportunities that they have provided to for the neighborhood to get some input. So with that, ill just close by saying i think this project is a tremendous asset, will be a tremendous asset to the neighborhood, and it will make this stretch of broadway even more inviting. And so with that, i am done, and i will let john stewart handle the closing of this ceremony. Thank you. [applause] thank you. I have to add one codicil to whats been said. We observe neighborhood reactions to the concept of formerly homeless, and they run screaming from the run. Theres a lack of opposition. On this project, theres six entities that reviewed all of all of our designs and plans and our sociology. Not once did i hear anybody say oh, wow, youre going to have formerly homel
