UC Berkeley lockdown: Students living in dorms face extra week of quarantine amid surge in COVID-19 cases

Governments around the country are looking at ways to curb the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus. One way is to institute a shelter-in-place-order. But what does that mean and how does it work? We broke it down for you. Pantovic says the volleyball team was moved to a hotel to avoid the COVID-19 restriction at dorms, which would impact their ability to travel for games. She says the restrictions are tough, but necessary. I think they do make sense in a circumstance like this where there is a large surge in cases. I think it s the only thing that can be done to slow (it) down, says Pantovic.
